The VAN-ABILITY project
Hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians were injured in the war and became disabled. They use a wheelchair or have prosthetic limbs.
Rehabilitation centers in many cities conduct regular excercises and procedures with them to restore or maintain physical and mental health. Those patients usually live in their homes, and traveling to and from rehab by regular transport is hard for them. Special vans can solve the problem (will be technically adapted in Ukraine).
Let's help meet this need!
What is needed: used vans, large or medium, in good condition.
The aim is to deliver 20 of them.
Why it's cool:
this is civilian humanitarian aid to war victims.
each van will help hundreds of people.
the Lions logo (possibly with the name of your club) on each van that will run daily through cities, along with the logo of a reputable rehabilitation center.
The first van was handed over to the Superhumans rehab center by PID Marcel Daniëls in October 2025!
